portugal looks battered

Unfortunately for Portugal they didn't have a striker to match Deco's creativity, if Nuno Gomes is the best centre forward in Portugal then it doesn't bode well. Germany had to play really well to beat them but Gomes looked as surprised as anyone when he scored and i was taken aback by Postiga's goal as Portugal seemed to be shooting from 35+ yards for a good 20 minutes leading up to that. they never really looked like scoring after. i think that is the first time (and maybe last) i have ever cheered for Germany (!), yes Ballack did push the defender for his goal but it was counted (same as Portugal scored a dubious third against Czechs) as is sometimes the case, they always looked on top.
